Experimentation

I am now going to experiment with colour, to see whether this will make the interaction better and possibly more attractive.
As well as experimenting with the opacity to see if this heightens my interaction.

Refreshed

Here I have given the interaction a 'refresh' with the click of the left mouse button.

I think that having eight ellipses did create an interesting effect. But i feel that it is too much for what i am wanting.
So I think that I will preferably use four ellipses as i feel it creates an interesting effect rather than having just one or two ellipses.
I will most likely change the sizing's of the ellipses so as to make it more aesthetically pleasing.
Next I want the person interacting with this code to be able to 'refresh' what they have created, so as to start anew.

Process

More Inspiration

Something else that gave me inspiration.
The game solitaire. The old one that is. How the cards fall and bounce off the ground after winning a round, like in the picture shown below.

Here is another inspiration that I have for my new concept. I like the idea of being able to create your own patterns, with the movement of the mouse. It gives the control to the user more than from the interaction itself.

Change

After much consideration and unforeseen circumstances I have decided to make a last minute change in what I am doing. I am going back to the interaction I found called "Stitches in Waves".
I have decided that my original idea of cat and mouse was becoming too complicated for what I wanted to do. As well as me feeling that it was still a bit too controlled in comparison with what I have now decided to do now.
As seen in my second try at making the cat and mouse idea, I made the ellipse that was following the mouse leave a trail of ellipses behind. What I know wish to achieve is to have more ellipses moving towards the mouse leaving behind many trails, giving the person in control of the mouse the ability to make patterns with the given ellipse trails.

Processing

First i want to get how to place the circles which will block the main circle from you the mouse. After I have achieved this I will then look into how the circles dropped can block the chasing circle. Then after I will look into colour. Here is my first attempt at trying to create my vision. As you can see its not exactly going as planned. The circles aren't staying in the spot when clicked, it just changes with the mouse, never staying where it was originally clicked which is what I am trying to achieve. As you can see I tried a second attempt. I thought that maybe it was the placing of 'background' which made it so. But I was wrong. So back to the drawing board.

What I want to achieve

In my own coding I want to take bits and pieces from most of my inspirations.
What I want to achieve from my own coding, is to have a circle chasing the mouse (you) with the click of either the left or right mouse button you produce random sized circles and squares which eventually lead to making it impossible for the circle to catch you.
The idea comes from the game 'cat and mouse' which basically has a cat forever chasing after the mouse. Which is what I plan to achieve in my code.
As seen below there are some sketches of my ideas on how it looks.

More inspirations

I like this as it is quite interactive, but also gives room for development. Turns it 3D when clicked and moved. Interactive Very simplistic. With your own drawings there is a constant movement, just like a carousel, which leads it to be three-dimensional.

This website I found when Stumbling one day.
I like the colours used, as well as the different styles you can draw with. I like the idea of getting the user more involved with the design. Rather than just moving your mouse around and moving things around. But also to get the user to interact with the code on a more personal level, where they choose what they do, with a minor boundary mark.
