Research

Here are my first three original drawn concepts of which I want to achieve with this sound project.

(Light) : My inspiration for this design is the use of a chaser. A chaser functions so that when a light is plugged into the chaser, it then alternates the power through the channels using the song dynamics and a solid bass line. So the idea behind this is the sound will be created from producing the 'light' (left mouse click). The 'light' will be formed with a line which goes up to the mouse and falls away to both sides, creating the lighting effect.
Downside: to this interaction is the interactors play in the interaction. As it's just one click that creates the visuals and sound.

(Guitar) : Very basic design. Six guitar strings. When you drag the line and release, it creates the sound of that string (E, A, D, G, B, E). I feel that this interactive is very generic and to be honest, over-used.
Downside: Limited visuals. Over-used.

(Piano) : The inspiration of a piano. Except it will be more abstracted. The piano keys will be warped into a spiral creating a new, interesting visual. Having the sound be created from the click of the mouse. Each key the sound that it would be on an actual piano.
Downside: Boring, as all in all it is just a piano.

As said before I will be furthering my 'lighting' idea as I feel that it is more aesthetically pleasing than that of the abstract piano or the guitar strings.

- What I inspire from this interaction is the different sounds that is created depending on what part of the rainbow you move the mouse over. I want to bring this in my own design except having the sound change dependent on what part of the sketch you click in.

- I like how depending on where you click, a different colour appears. I am thinking of doing something like this within my own design. This way the light created can be multiple colour's. That or each time you click, the light changes colour. I feel that this will make it interesting visually. And more aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
