Final
My final for Project 3.
If you hold down the left mouse button you produce the bass like sound (from a bass drum) as well as falling lines. If you move the mouse around whilst holding down the mouse button it makes the line move with the mouse, then holding in one place makes the lines fall away again.
When you click the right mouse button you refresh the page with a slight sound.
Although I was a little bit disappointed that I couldn't work out my original idea. I feel that I could've had more interaction within my design, which is also something else I was a bit disappointed about.
Although over all I am pleased with the end result.
Sound
As I am unable to embed the sounds that I am look at. I have put them in a processing sketch. To hear each sound you just need to push any of the letter keys on the keyboard.
Looking through the different sounds I have decided that I like the sound which is allocated 's' as my main sound for the interaction. For the right click (refreshing/starting over) is allocated as 'r'.
I like these out of the sounds that I chose as I feel that 's' has a very nice bass line. Which in my opinion represents the idea behind the chaser more so than the other sounds. Along with the fact that I believe that it doesn't get too overpowering in comparison to the other sounds of which I narrowed down.
The 'r' sound I chose mainly because it is short and sweet. As well as coinciding with the 's' sound very well.
Change
Here I have changed my design so that at a certain point the lines fall in the opposite direction. So still giving the light effect. Admittedly it's not what I wanted my interaction to look like originally. But overall I am quite happy as to how it turned out. All there is to do now is look into other sounds to use. Especially the explosion sound as I feel that, that doesn't link in anywhere within my idea for the interaction.

Colour
Here is just a quick play with colour. Since my inspiration is from lights (lighting show lights), they have multi RGB colours. Which I would like to incorporate in my own design. Although I want to limit, so not having browns, blacks and whites. As these types of colours are unappealing and not generally used in a lighting show, I don't want them in my interaction.
Sound
My second play with sound. Here I have made it so that the lines that you create stays visible, along with sound. At this point in time I am looking into finding a much more bass-like sound rather than this higher pitched one I have at the moment. But just to show what I am trying to do, I am keeping with this sound until I find the one I am looking for.
With the lines staying visible on the page I have decided to bring in the RIGHT click, which pretty much erases what you have made on the page. With an added sound. At this stage it is just an exploding sound so as to give the idea of blowing up the lines on the page to create something new.
I am also looking into having more than just one sound when having the lines as I feel that having just one sound makes the interactive boring and uninteresting. But I'm not absolutely sure as to how I will achieve this. We shall see...
Height and Width
Here I have just made it so that when the mouse is held there is a fall of lines just to the one side at this point in time. Here I have made it so the last two x and y to 'line' is height and width. This means that it moves throughout the scene. Although I would prefer it to be a straight line that shoots up to where the mouse is. This is something I am looking into fixing.

Almost there
Here I have been able to get it so that the interactor chooses where the line falls from. Although I have discovered that when trying to get the other side of the line to fall down so as to form the 'light' styled form. It would not work in the way I want it to. So at this point in time I am still developing it. But I feel that I am quite close to what I am wanting this to look like.
What I'm trying to do
Here is an interaction from my last project. Showing how I want the interaction to work with the exception of it being the 'light' rather than the line used here. I am still having trouble with my own design as even though I have released the mouse button it doesn't restart the 'light' It just carries on the rest of the 'light' and then nothing else happens. I'm looking into arrays and looping but am not exactly sure how to go about it. But we shall see.

Sound
Just a quick play with how I want the sound to work. Although at the moment that isn't the sound I want to have. I want to be able to have alternative sound levels as you go up and down the y-axis, I feel that it would make it more interactive and more interesting for the interactor.
I am still working on fixing the actual 'light' itself.
MouseClick
I've managed to create the 'light' using the mouse click. So when the interactor holds the mouse the 'light' continuially falls. The problem at the moment is that it doesn't refresh what you have done. So if I let go of the mouse half way through the 'light' falling it just picks up from where it left off. And also once finished it doesn't start back up again. This is something I am looking into to fix and make better. By possibly using loop()?
