Experiment 2
This is something that I experimented with from my first project. I like how it can look 3D.
Experiment 1
Looking at the idea of chasing. Like in my first research precedent.

Research
The precedent of spirograph waves is very intersting. The interaction of using the arrow keys makes it interesting. Although could be more interactive.

Admittedly this is more control rather than interaction. The only interation the features within this design is that whenever you move your mouse the pattern that it is making changes, depending on how far in to either side of the canvas you go.

Research
This is an interactive piece that I found on openprocessing.com. (the link is at the bottom of this page).
What stood out for me with this interaction is that you, the interactor can hold the mouse button and produce lines tht rotate and move as you move your mouse, but at the same time a darker design follows suit but not in the same way that you yourself are making. Which then results in a more interesting interaction.

This is an interactive application that I found on stumbleupon.com.
This is something that I find very interesting as when playing with this interaction you are making many arrows, and get the choice of whether you make the coloured arrows or the murdurous ones.
But thats not the end. When the black arrows hit the coloured arrows, the coloured arrows leave behind their colour of splattered 'paint' Which I feel adds a very interesting effect.

For my final series I have decided to have a black background so as to have more emphasis for my series.
The colour I have chosen for my patterns is a bright green. I chose this colour as it stands out from the black quite nicely as well as resembling my idea of a laser light.

Here I have changed the background to white. Just to see the difference between the two opposite colours.
Even though white does still look good. I personally feel that it stands out better on the black background. As it relates more to my precedent of the laser light, which is generally seen when dark.
So I will be sticking with the black background for my series.
Research
As you can see, all my structures have a black background this is due to the fact that I feel that the black emphasizes my design better than if it were on a white or other coloured background.
My inspiration for this project is the laser light, as shown below:
http://img.alibaba.com/wsphoto/v0/254820741/RGY-150mW-DJ-Laser-Light-Show-Disco-Stage-Lighting.jpg
The rays of light. For lighting, the rays of light are only visible from smoke machines, which reveal the light protruding from these lasers.
Hence why I have a subtle transparency as it makes the lines softer to look at as well as resembling these laser rays as in this picture.
I am thinking about using multi-colours throughout my final series. This way it gives that single piece of work individuality, as well as still being able to link well with the rest of the series, showing an obvious connection between the eight.

Teal
This is a development from the one below. Here the lines come from all corners. Creating an X in the middle
Fan effect
Here I have used the lines to come from two corners creating a fan effect.
Here I have taken away the transparency. To see how it would change the design. As you can see it makes it look quite flat in comparison to the ones that have that subtle transparency in them.

experiment
Here I have changed the strokeWeight to 5. This has made an interesting effect with my pattern.
